"I began Pilates because a friend told me she loved it. She had back problems and after starting Pilates with Jackie her back problems virtually disappeared. I thought I would give it a try since, I too, had back problems. Well, I no longer have the daily aches and pains in my back. Once in a while I will get a twinge and I will immediately do some Pilates mat work and the pain disappears. It truly is amazing. An added benefit to beginning Pilates - I am in better shape. After having three children, my body no longer was looking quite like it used to. Pilates is helping me to achieve the more defined figure that I have been longing for within the past several years.
